A holiday in the Thuringian Forest!
The Holiday Park Gehlberg is located on one of the most beautiful places in Germany, about 700 meters high with a fantastic view of the mountains and hills. There are hiking trails, cross-country ski trails and bike paths in front of the door.
The park is located on the outskirts of Gehlberg with cozy restaurants, snow slopes, supermarket etc.
There is also a delicious butcher shop in the village. Every Wednesday (from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm) the original Thuringian sausages (according to the original recipe) and other delicacies are laid on the grill.
In the village Gräfenroda (about 8 km) is a large supermarket (Rewe) with its own bakery. This supermarket is open weekdays from 08:00 to 22:00. The bakery is open on Sunday from 07:00 to 11:00 for delicious fresh sandwiches, croissants, pastries and the like.
The famous town "Oberhof" is about 12 km away. There are still many attractive (big) cities in the neighborhood, such as Suhl, Ilmenau, Erfurt, Weimar and the Drei Gleichen.
